• 97% of households with T.V.’s have some kind of video recorder device
• Color T.V. appeared in the 50’s and 60’s became available in 1953
• Broad cast channels such as fox, ABC, NBC tend to be the most popular channels

• Co axial cable can offer more channels and does not have to share spectrum like broadcast does.
• Beta max competed with VHS. Beta max lost because it only could contain an hour worth of video at first.
• Beta max was actually better quality
• Rentals began to decline once DVD’s were introduced
• b/c studios no longer keep contracts with video store rentals that allowed them to get movie before consumers.
• Now consumers could get the DVD the same time as the rental store and the price to buy was no longer ridiculous.
• The first rental places to fall were mom and pop local movie rental places
• To figure out what size T.V. you should get:
• Take the distance from the location of your viewing point in inches and the T.V. location and divide it by two and then by 3 and the size T.V. should fall into that range.

• Scene completion allows you to edit things you don’t want in the pic and then the database completes the picture to appeal to the editors needs. Ex. The view of the bay with the building in the way, you can edit the building out and the computer generates and fills in the gap you edited.
